As summer begins to wind down and we head into another exciting season in La Quinta, there’s an unmistakable sense of momentum throughout our community. From new businesses opening their doors to long-time local favorites preparing for another busy fall, our city continues to grow while maintaining the charm that makes La Quinta such a special place to live, work, and visit.
That momentum was on full display recently at the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Local Board Kickoff, where Chamber leaders from across the valley came together to collaborate, share ideas, and prepare for the busy season ahead. It was especially rewarding to celebrate our La Quinta Chamber Board being recognized with the Best Business Mixer award for last season’s networking event, held at Golf Social Premier Indoor Golf. The success of that evening reflected the outstanding partnership between a great local business, our dedicated Board of Directors, Mayor Linda Evans, members of the La Quinta City Council, and everyone who attended. Together, they showcased the very best of the La Quinta business community.
One of the things I enjoy most as Chamber Chairman is celebrating the entrepreneurs who choose to invest in our community. Over the past month we’ve welcomed Casa de Silvia, a wonderful new family-owned restaurant that has already become a local favorite. We also look forward to celebrating the opening of Shake Shack, adding another nationally recognized brand to La Quinta while creating new jobs and giving residents and visitors another great dining option.
September also signals the unofficial beginning of our fall season. As temperatures begin to ease, you’ll notice more visitors returning, restaurants becoming busier, community events filling the calendar, and our local businesses preparing for one of the busiest times of the year. This is the perfect opportunity for all of us to continue supporting the businesses that invest in our community every day.
I also want to encourage everyone to stay connected with the Chamber. We have an exciting lineup of networking events, ribbon cuttings, educational opportunities, and community celebrations planned over the coming months. Whether you’re a business owner, resident, or someone looking to become more involved, there’s never been a better time to engage with the Chamber.
